I got it for the cover, but the style inside is more inspired by Rumiko Takahashi. It covers a wild amount of ground, including drawing fat characters, old characters, basic hand/foot anatomy, perspective, detailed backgrounds, magical/psychic effects, practical weaponry, mechs, kaiju, etc. Literally hunted down another copy of it as an adult because it’s so comprehensive. Biggest downside is the guy has “waist smaller than head” syndrome for female characters, but that’s unfortunately pretty accurate to at least that era of manga.
