What do you want to use it for? Proton is decent if it’s an anonymous account. If it’s going to receive any information about you irl then I’d buy a domain and forward to fastmail.
It’s really just for sharing audio files and miscellaneous shit with bandmates

Then I’d consider it a fairly public account associated with you and do the domain + mx record thing. The advantage is that you can switch mail providers without changing addresses and vice versa.
