Remember kids, when America has over 500 billion dollars worth of gold in New York and that’s not even our only massive gold depository, that’s just there to back the US dollar for everyone’s benefit.

When a :us-foreign-policy: person has a vault of gold, it’s there “to pay mercenaries to fight for him for years”.

I’m not sure if it’s actually Knox or not, but it came up when I searched “fort knox gold” and learned that it isn’t even the largest gold depository in the US.

ahh, I was just reading more about it because I was curious. it sounds like all the gold in the new york reserve doesn’t necessarily belong to the US (though presumably some large amount of it does). so it’s possible ft. knox still has the largest amount of US-owned gold.
