I’ve never seen the appeal. Me and my GF prefer Cake Boss there’s something utterly insane about American fake reality TV that just gives me so much enjoyment. “We made you a cake in the shape of a table out of plywood and frosting, it’s a cake honest”. Also all the people are just bonkers.
Speaking from the other perspective, I hate the American fake reality flavor of most cooking shows, the edits and drama and all that is just obnoxious at times, and specifically for competition shows I hate how nasty contestants can be to each other. So I like GBBS cause it’s way more relaxed and people are just eager to show off a loaf of bread they made or whatever
