Is that for the same reason as all their idols can never fail, only ever be failed. It started out being a position mostly seen in the Hillary diehards, but now it appears to be spreading. I haven’t followed this angle of politics for all that long, so did any of you older folks see anything like this in previous democrats?
Two things can be gained from this.
- Reddit has always been fucking gross and we probably should be happy that we got banned. and
- One of the mods on /r/conservative is a pedophile and needs to get the double-wall.

Yeah this article is kinda bittersweet. Especially the line “in times of crisis people turn to the serious parties” really shows that most political analysts don’t know dick about what they’re talking about. People turned to the Far-right parties because nothing else made their lives better in the slightest, and in several countries their standards of living were declining. Furthermore the entrenched and serious parties have all moved way further to the right on the issues of immigration and general attitude towards brown people.
Also another horrific thing about that line i mentioned above is the fact that it seemingly portrays a mindset that if people turn to facism, it’s still fine for liberal democracy as the voters should be allowed to dabble just a bit. It’s fucking bleak man.
Kinda mad that I haven’t heard of “mayolist” before. Feels bad that Neolibs came up with a better use of that slur than I’ve heard from here.
Wouldn’t this be dependant on how you phrase your criticism? Conservatives don’t really object to commodification of culture per say, just when culture becomes commodified by the “wrong” people, or marketed TO the “wrong people”. Only people I’ve ever met who objected to commodification in general were leftist, or at least has been wearing the appearance of leftism.
France is about to speedrun the road to fascism arent they?
