I’m Chinese and I use like a quarter to a third of a teaspoon in a dish for two people. You don’t need to douse your food with it

I think they may have put on some fancier dishes for guests. My grandmother used to have mantou and a hard-boiled egg for breakfast. And some pickled mustard tubers for flavour.

Wasn’t this re-popularized by Mega64? Like it’s a meme song in their content for so long it’s at the point that it’s come around again and they actually enjoy it.

Yeah, she’s from the north. Another food item I didn’t really get was just plain Coogee/rice porridge with a few slices of pickled radishes. No sauce or oils of any kind. Just wet rice to start the day.

The flats? Just eat them correctly. Twist the wing so the 2 bones separate then slide the entire thing in your mouth, bite and scrape all the meat off in one fell swoop. Google how to eat chicken wings.

Growing up we’d get whole chickens (incl. Head, feet. Basically something slaughtered, drained and de-feathered that morning, fairly typical in China) to eat and my grandfather would get upset if we left any meat on the bones. Good times.

The issue is that he was also spineless so despite basically being a US vassal state he didn’t want to antagonise China too much (in terms of substantial policies, not dumbass gestures like war crime shrine visits)

So if his successor is more competent at sucking Yankee cock it’s worse news for Asia.
