Yeah, I kind of doubt the authenticity of the original post, but I’m more talking about the reaction to it and the viral attention that it got. I just can’t imagine why so many people would become so emerged in the dark past of a country as irrelevant as Sweden, and the fact this is spawning from a silly post about not being offered food is too much of a stretch even for Twitter I would think. Maybe I’m being overly optimistic, but I figured most Europeans already know about Sweden’s past imperialism towards the Sami or the fact they were basically an Axis power in all but name.
Go White Sox
I guess, but I could easily do the same on lesbian/queer women spaces too, which I sometimes also do, but to a lesser extent. That would make more sense since I’m actually attracted to women, wouldn’t it?
Sometimes I think it’s internalized heteronormality because I think I HAVE to sext with men in order to feel like a woman, but I’m starting to think it’s entirely just self-serving and whoever I’m talking to doesn’t matter in the slightest.
Am I a lib for thinking that there might actually be Russian influence behind the “Swedengate” bullshit?
An uninteresting Reddit post about one guy being denied food at one Swedish kid’s house leads to an all-out anti-Swedish explosion on Twitter, diving into Sweden’s imperialist and racist past? This feels too manufactured to be real and this coinciding with their NATO application seems like too much of a coincidence.
