Enver_McTim [he/him]
I was complaining to my gen x coworker (who I thought was cool) about how expensive my tuition is and how I probably won’t be able to buy a car for several years. Dude then started implying I must be wasting money. He asked me how much I spent on streaming services, I told him $7 a month for the basic Netflix plan plus $5 a month for the Spotify-Hulu college student discount bundle. He used that as a gotcha for “the many ways your generation throws money away” or something. Also called out the fact he saw me drinking redbull at the start of some shifts
It’s 40 hours or 5 days a year for most people. Better than nothing but still lower than pretty much every other country
Hank’s racism in Breaking Bad
I know he’s a nuanced character with toxic masculinity problems, and his racism isn’t exactly presented as a good thing… but he’s still one of the good guys so the constant slurs are a little much
If you don’t have mommy issues you’re not allowed a negative opinion on this movie
increasing the maximum allowed working hours to 10h/day
That’s bad, but compared to America I’m surprised because I didn’t even know countries had limits to working hours in a day! And if they did, I assumed it’d be like 12 hours, goddamn my mom is working 14 shifts
Also, the working week in Germany is 40h
Ah I thought that might be standard too but I wasn’t sure, I guess vacation days is really the only factor at play. I was mainly speaking hypothetically, like if Germany had as little leave days as America then 1750 v 1350 hours a year would be the difference between a 40 and 30 hour work week
