Some clever Chinese person put the photo on top, and a picture of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger walking together on the bottom, and it was a dead ringer for the pair. Of course, mocking the leadership is not allowed in China so the right-wing memer was deplatformed and the graphic banned from circulation. Thus the libs think they’re tweaking China’s nose with the Winnie the Pooh comparison.
Their entire identity is consumed by “not being American”. Whatever America is, they’ll get on the other side. What makes it worse is that Americans are only dimly aware they exist. Here’s an interesting video that does a good run-down on the topic.

I think you are misunderstanding the argument and changing the subject. I’m saying kanji isn’t used to refer to Chinese characters. Moreover, that Japanese characters and Chinese characters are different. They can’t read each other’s languages. There are some cognates but that’s it.
Could you present some evidence that Chinese characters are called kanji?
