The big surprise was seeing the Nationalist Chinese there at 4th place. We know all the others but you never hear about what they did.
By the way those numbers are wrong, the real ones can be seen at the source: https://www.hawaii.edu/powerkills/20TH.HTM

The best episode of the series is certainly “In the Pale Moonlight”. The Federation is losing the war, so Sisko comes up with a plan to plant a false flag on a Romulan Senator blaming the Dominion and thus bring thier badly needed ships into the war. He has to do all sorts of dirty deeds, it gets pretty dark. But every time he feels regret, there’s more news about how the Federation just suffered another defeat and things are even worse. He digs himself a big hole, finally presents the forgery to the Romulan…only for him, in the series’ best moment ever, to hiss "It’s a faaaake! " In the commercial break that followed, I was seriously alarmed for the future of the Federation. The rest would be spoilers, but the episode is well worth watching even if you’re not a DS9 fan.
You didn’t mention the time Iggy Pop was on the show.
how many would frame it with those words?
It’s “people who want to do something good by their own standards”. They can turn this shit firehose on whomever they like.
Heck, the very word “patriot” means “domestic terrorist” today. By the government’s own training manuals. Look how far we’ve come, that such people are considered enemies of the state. Imagine that in the 80s. Progress has been made.
It’s the psychology of different sorts of humans. The kind that we today call right-wing has respect for legitimate authority as one of its core values. The kind that we today call left-wing sees that there is no such thing as “legitimate” authority and that all power must devolve to the people. Thus the right’s values look like fascism. Which they pretty much are.
“people may have to resort to violence” isn’t a Qanon idea, although I’m sure the NYT is having shitgiggles saying it is. It’s one of their favorite tactics, smearing a good idea by mashing it against a stupid idea.
The government should be afraid of the people, not the other way around.
