Horseshit outlier. I’ve consistently seen DeSuckAss poll at least 12-15 points under Trump since the midterms

Snyder is also a usual suspect because from what I’m aware Bloodlands is a soft (at the very least) case for the “Double Genocide” thesis.

Though I must say he is more of a historian than a pundit, unlike Applebaum.

Yes, they’ve claimed it’s a civilian meteorology research balloon that’s been blown wildly off course

I’m gonna be honest, if the Republicans are going to run their 2024 campaign on an explicit platform of exterminationist anti-LGBT rhetoric and a federal abortion ban, then I have absolutely zero problem voting straight Democrat this time purely out of spite.

Assad Curse vs Cancel Culture is truly the “unstoppable force vs immovable object” of our times

Best part of that is that while a lot of the others are about mass murder of millions the worst crime that they can pin on Cuba and Castro is “he took the property of poor innocent entrepreneurs and expelled them with naught but the clothes on their back” :powercry-2:

I wouldn’t say Joel is framed as “the bad guy”. He made an extremely emotionally-charged judgment call because he felt the same way about the odds of the Fireflies’ plan and what’s ultimately important. On a practical level, what he did was wrong because he killed what are probably several of the very few remaining living medical professionals. On an emotional and thematic level, what he did was wrong because his judgment call went against Ellie’s own agency and he very transparently lied to her about it. But it’s left ambiguous in the end on purpose. Was Joel right to be skeptical or wrong to think he knew better than Ellie what she wanted? It’s up to you.
