The nazis did not have to do much to absorb their legacies, we just choose to ignore this because nobody teaches people about European sympathies for the confederacy or the racialism that existed in Germany before the nazis rose up.

The coalition in Italy failed, the left and the technocrats are discredited and people sense the fin de siecle with every drought and flood. That and the anti African paranoia. Fascism is going to grow there and then take over either France or Spain.

Italy invading Western Libya is going to happen again within the decade. France under Le Pen will probably attack Algeria.

I don’t think that’s the problem per se, liberals just don’t like to admit that fascism is a logical end point of their system and the successful stunting of socialism.
