I like the distinction between the two “to be” forms in Spanish (ser/estar) and how it modifies the meaning of the verb. Eg. ser listo != estar listo.
It’s also nice seeing languages with a mostly free word order, that rely on grammar instead, like Greek, even though that probably makes them harder to learn.
Wait there is a phone with a temperature sensor? That actually seems pretty useful. I’d love for phones to start adding more sensors you can access.
Beaver-tailed you say? https://youtube.com/watch?v=P9FRxokO2so
What happens when you have the main navigation bar at the bottom? Where does the second bar go? I hope they didn’t just remove that feature.
I recently found out about URLCheck. You set it as default browser and it gives you a popup when clicking on a link. You can preview, edit the link and open it with the app you want instead of automatically opening it in its default app. Especially useful for apps that don’t give a link preview on text like my comment that hide the link address.
- URLCheck: Bring back the “open link with…” functionality of android with so many more features
- PassAndroid: I was looking for a wallet-type app to store tickets. This is the perfect combination of simple but works.
I also started using KDEConnect recently just for the remote input function and I already consider it essential.
Recommendations on YouTube are pretty bad but there is still good content. You just need to find some good channels and basically only browse the subscriptions tab. It’s a much better experience
Pretty sure the point of creationism is that everything was put on the earth when it was created, including fossils etc. You can’t argue this with logic. My favorite spin off of this is Last Thursdayism where the earth was created last Thursday (regardless of what day it’s now) which basically uses the same argument.
