Spores [she/her]
“It’s a joke” people are the worst. Its basically a way to spread awful positions you know they believe but are too cowardly to actually defend.
No matter how old you are, it’s cool and good to communicate with your potential partner beforehand about your fears and worries. People have a lot more depth than what they tend to show and I wouldn’t be surprised if a lott of people feel similar pressures or have wasted time with ideas they weren’t proud of in the past.
Honestly, the best conversations I’ve had were ones which involved analyzing personal ideas of success & where these ideas come from & what effects they have on our wellbeing. Even if it’s not related to sex, it’s super intellectually stimulating to dissect the “whys” of everything (Like “why do I like this thing” or “why do I wanna be this thing”) and makes for a better conversation than the weather or whatever.
Also, there’s no time limit to this and please don’t feel pressured to have sex just as a goal or whatever or feel like you have to say yes to everything.
No
Vice is a leftist media outlet right? Inb4 vice isnt real news
I would treat vice with the same amount of scrutiny as any corporate media entity such as NYT.
Here is the ownership breakdown of Vice: Shane Smith (20%) The Walt Disney Company (16%) A&E Networks (20%) TPG Capital (44%) Soros Fund Management (10%) James Murdoch (minority stake)

Also of note is that one of Vice’s co-founders is gavin mcinnes (the founder of Proud Boys) and Bill Maher is an exec producer.
Which is not to say it’s not real news but rather it’s not “leftist” in the sense that it seriously intends to challenge power/capital.
I’ve stopped reading reddit. I feel bad cause I should probably try and challenge some of the views there but it’s so stressful seeing all the baseless/dehumanizing assumptions made about nonwhite people/places…
I don’t know the context of this conversation & I get that this person seems to not be very knowledgeable and is just randomly using words and being a bit defensive about it buutt at least they don’t seem hostile and are asking questions?? Or am I being naive?? I know when I was younger & looking into different ideologies I def mixed up a lot of terminology especially with the confusing way communism is talked about in the news & broader public…
