Now idea for an alien species:
Imagine a highly advanced alien civilization but they hold very petty grudges that go against logic. You meet this cool civilization that can travel across the stars but then you learn that they routinely shoot explosives at a random uninhabited planet because it inconvenienced them at one point. Not even enough to destroy the thing but just to do the civilizational equivalent of calling it smelly.
Basically what I want is a species with hyper-specific cultural taboos so I feel validated when I don’t want to drink water because it has air bubbles on the side so I wait thirsty for like 30 minutes until they go away.
