I get being nostalgic for Start/Select but how does Options/Share not make more sense? The options button brings up a menu of options for most games and share allows you to share screenshots or video from the game. Whereas start did the same thing options does now which has nothing to do with the word Start and Select was sorta a catch all button for an action you only used occasionally, but was never used for selecting which was usually X but sometimes one of the other shapes.

Us UCF fans are struggling. I’m happy to win the game and winning at Boise isn’t nothing, but the mistakes were ridiculous. And it wasn’t even Plumlee’s fault most of the time, which is unusual. I think McClain will be fine enough, but I don’t think we have a chance against KState without Plumlee’s big play ability, unless McClain shows the same. Ultimately I think this could be a really good team if they could be consistent and make less unforced errors. But I said the same last year and it seems to persist so I’m not exactly holding my breath. I think we’ll be bowl eligible, assuming we beat Villanova, we just have to eke out 3 conference wins. But I don’t see much beyond that unless something changes.

It’s mind boggling that they didn’t talk to him when he was hired and tell him to make sure he’s not seen around the school or it’ll cause a shit storm. It feels like these assholes just keep waiting for us to forget that they’re shitty people

So his claim is just that they copied the “spy thriller” tone of his book? I did a single PowerPoint slide on Tetris last year and got a pretty similar vibe from the Wikipedia page, so I don’t think it’s impossible they came up with that independently. Ultimately I think it’ll be difficult to prove unless there are fictional scenes in both that are fairly similar. Anything that actually happened that’s similar he couldn’t prove they got from his book. All this to say it’s definitely not impossible they were inspired by his book, I imagine stuff like that happens all the time. I’m just not sure he will be able to prove that enough to win.

The weird thing to me is I can understand wanting the baseball as a collectors item, but why would you want to look at it for 5 seconds when there’s an actual game going on? You could see the ball in the air and in your hand, it’s going to look just like an other baseball. It’s not even signed yet (if she even managed to get it signed)

Definitely, but I’d be willing to bet a good chunk of those 1000 episodes could be cut without losing much of the plot.

I’ve always been interested in One Piece but just can’t commit to that long of a show. I wonder if they plan to tell the story more succinctly (which might be difficult since my understanding is the story isn’t finished yet). If they do, I might check this out

I think this is a great move until we have something rock solid to prevent this. There are tons of image hosting sites you can use (most of which have the resources to already try to prevent this stuff) so it shouldn’t really cause much inconvenience.
