Shouldn’t we gift lemmy.zip something instead? :D
I mean this is just “sperm suppression”, of course it lowers the risk of pregnancy considerably, but not 100%. I’ll still get my tubes snipped at this point. As a guy you simply don’t have a lot of options if you want to be safe. Condoms and vasectomy, that’s it. And condoms can fail too if you’re unlucky.
As soon as the girl is pregnant all you can do is pray she doesn’t decide to keep the kid :-/
Unfortunately it’s pretty much just a label change and a price increase, not an actual 1.0 update :-/
Both use E Ink’s latest Kaleido color screen technology, which has subtle, pastel-like hues and drops from a 300ppi grayscale resolution to 150ppi when you view content in color.
I had to check just how bad 150ppi would be when dropping down the resolution for color.
A 24" Full HD monitor has a PPI of 92. So it’s actually okay.
I’m still using my old Kobo Aura HD (now roughly 11 years old) and the battery still lasts over a month. The screen was already decent back then, but a bit sluggish. I just checked, the old one has 265 ppi. Maybe it’s not time for an upgrade yet :)
A little bit of Apex Legends and Rocket League (like every week).
As for new games: Dragon’s Dogma, maybe Anno 1800 and I’m thinking really hard about getting Baldur’s Gate (It’s 10% off :) )
Most of the entries were just funny, the last one is a nuke:
- I heard that the only real application for that technology was child pornography. How did you hear about it?
At this point there is zero doubt left that Musk is an idiot.
All he did was being born rich and being lucky with his investments so far.
No, I’m not stupid. Also technically everything you create on company time and/or company resources no longer belongs to you.
I did have a boss once (software development) who hosted his own website on the company servers. Not 100% sure if that was ever green lit by the CEO (maybe, maybe not). But I was really annoyed when the server had issues due to that private site, when I didn’t have access to the code to fix them.
Stop caring? It’s just your job, there’s also doctors and lawyers and architects and …
You reply you’re a software developer. Either the topic ends there or how it often happens you get follow up questions like “What do you work on?” or “How to learn programming?”.
People are usually curious instead of jealous or annoyed. It’s just a conversation.
