I love my audio books, so driving isn’t a huge complaint. I once drove 12 hours to hang out with family for Thanksgiving (~4 hours) and then drove back (another 12 hours).

As for why, I don’t know why I originally went this route. The phone is a Pixel 7, so it’s name was inspired by the meme.

My servers all are named after their purpose, no theme for them lol.

My main desktop has a 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD (boot drive), a 1TB PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD (I use this for recordings / nonessential). It also has two 8TB HDDs in software RAID1, running Macrium Reflect for daily backups of the boot drive, as well as file versioning. My laptop, a generic Thinkpad E14 G1 I got off eBay for a couple hundred, has a 1TB PCle 3.0 NVMe drive (not sure why, I’m constantly wiping that thing it’s my OS playground). Then I have a 4 drive NAS with 4x10TB and around 26TB usable in RAID5, all my Linux ISOs are there.

Yeah, discovery was one of my main reasons for using it. Getting my own music just sounds like a huge undertaking considering how I listen on a whim.
