Nice. Software developer, gamer, occasionally 3d printing, coffee lover.
I see it too, I tried explaining how it works a few times but the complainers don’t give a shit, they want X and they want it yesterday! Even if X is a vague concept that we don’t know yet. Frustrating.
It’s one reason I prefer a community forum over a community Discord. The forum tends to keep the complaints to a few easy to ignore threads. Meanwhile in the Discord someone asks the same braindead question every 5 minutes.
The way they describe it has me baffled. At first I assumed they were referring to PaaS like Heroku or Vercel and somehow weren’t aware they could just get a barebones Linux VPS.
But no, going by the response they’re complaining because VPS provider websites require JavaScript to function?
OP you know you can clear cache after and bam, all the locally cached JavaScript in your browser is gone.
If you do happen to be referring to PaaS solutions, just go barebones and use SSH to connect and configure it.
Stellaris, so similar vein as AOE2 lol.
I work for a hosting provider and recently we received a report about a user hosting AI generated CSAM, I verified it and forwarded it to the legal team. They told him to GTFO.
He left a negative review because we “wouldn’t let him host AI generated content”. Nuh-uh sir, that is not why. Some people are just so out of touch with reality.
A bit of advice I received prompted me to change my resume and start non hunting again. Also helped with the imposter syndrome some.

South East US (bible belt), 27, yes.
I learned shortly after getting my license, because I wanted to be versatile. My first car was a manual, but unfortunately decided to go back to automatic so I could lend my car without having to give a crash course.
I love driving stick it makes the most boring car that much more fun.
