Probably something along these lines:
Ronald Reagan = someone who pretended to be formulating an alternative to “the system”, but was actually far more successful in working for its goals than the establishment in his time.
Leftist = someone who pretends to be formulating an alternative to “the system”, but is actually far more successful in working for its goals than the establishment in his time.
Therefore Ronald Reagan is his time’s equivalent of a leftist.
In a way, yeah. What I wanted to say is that people here and on similar sites have some unusual notions of interpersonal relationships that have a lot to do with internet social justice culture, but which don’t correspond to real life for most people, but I said it in a more politically incorrect way that might have caused people to give me a hard time, so I deleted it. There was a time in this site where people were getting banned literally just for downvoting posts made by trans people, so you never know.
Once you get used to it it’s easy, but many people don’t have a lot of exposure and so they struggle with it. It’s mostly because the Portuguese don’t pronounce weaker vowels. Example: the word “excelente”. In Brazil they pronounce it with four syllables “e-se-len-tchi”, in Portugal it’s one syllable “shlent”.
We (Brazil) are the colony. That’s why we move there and not the other way around, because they are rich and we are poor. Right?
Why not? It’s right there, it’s an enemy. What’s the downside? China’s not gonna sanction them.
More fuel for the long-standing theory that people in the 21st century pick their politics mostly out of vague aesthetic identification. This case being representative of the new “TERF” identity, which hegemonic left-liberal culture vaguely codes as woman-positive but also right-wing and anglophilic, see the profile picture.
