Because Texans aren’t flooding California after messing their own nest. Then, after arriving in their new home, they begin advocating for the same policies that drove them away in the first place.

I have never seen one of those outside an airport.

I remember seeing people complain on Reddit about Austin airport. It has all these local eateries instead of the chains they’re used to. Apparently that’s hostile to travelers because when people travel they don’t want any local flavor, they want the same restaurants they always see in airports. CPK was mentioned by name.

Agree. Ivy League is the worst because they’re the ones who staff the DC government and start wars. Californians are just super self-satisfied and irritating.

The problem I have with all these guides is that they all assume the same thing: what you want is to get super ripped and muscly. Nobody says anything if you just want to get healthier. We humans were designed for physical activity, and we need it. The assumption makes sense, as the people who write them all are ripped already, and that’s why they got into the gym lifestyle.

If China was a “normal” country, they would have had several highly destructive property booms and crashes by now. But smartly, foreigners are only allowed to own ONE apartment, and getting property loans is quite difficult. Someone’s going to say this is nativism and HECK YEAH IT IS. Benefit the people, not the international financiers.

If China allowed free movement of money, most Chinese people would have long since moved all their assets out of China, crashing the economy and causing widespread misery. Instead, the government forces them to invest in their own country if they want to chase returns. HECK YEAH.

This right here is why you don’t do business with family.
