It’s always funny when Chuds talk about the opinions of “the people”, as if they interact with “the people”. They interact with their families and friends, but are terrified of “the people”. It’s like a dumb brit (he was okay, but his politics were ass p sure he’s an EcoFash) I knew in uni tried to convince me that working class people actually really liked Thatcher, cause she gave them some houses once or some shit, when he grew on an isolated massive estate far from any people. “Oh yeah did the people tell you that?” Hombre here ain’t dropping the n word around “the people”

We really don’t. Like I would consider myself pretty damn well educated, but there is soooooooooooooo much I’ve learned since George Floyd popped off and I decided to dive head first into theory and historical analysis. It is wild to come to grips with how effective our education and uni systems are at creating little ignorant chauvinists incapable of recognizing their place in history or analyzing history outside of shallow idealism
As an autist (not a woman though so at least my “coldness” is somewhat socially acceptable), it tends to feel like these sorts of people are way shittier at understanding me than I am at understanding them; even though supposedly that’s where MY deficit is. Maybe your conventions do not contain some essential characteristic of humanity or rational normative notions about social interaction, just social hegemony and suppression of diversity of thought
I think anime’s 8 episode fight sequences with their fucking stupid inner monologs are extremely indicative of lib brain and their insane idealism. Real life fights and high octane moments run on autopilot and default to muscle memory and training. I do understand that it’s fantasy and that’s fine, but it annoys the shit out of me - at least it tells us something about the world we live in, just nothing that it intends. Maybe It’s just cause I didn’t watch DBZ as a kid.
