Anegdote time

Cis dude here. A few years ago, while out drinking with an old friend, also a cis man, he asked me if female orgasms are real. I am not some sex icon, but I’ve had a relationship going for a few years by that time (and still going on now, we’re close to 10 years) so I guess he trusted my advice… And yeah, he had no idea what a clitoris was. Dude was in his late 20s and seemingly didn’t even know his partners could have enjoyed sex, and only reason he cared this time around is because he hoped to continue seeing this woman long term. Fucking bizarre

I think the point was that due to a different construction, the walls could be made thinner or something, idk. I can’t find it now and it was probably false. Most articles I find talk about how the new cans “feel more luxurious” and thus sell better.

Oh, I heard the very reason for this was that it used like 5% less aluminium

I would love him to try and explain what he means by that, in detail lmao

While I guess there will be a few Holocaust-denying shitheads even on “our side” (and fuck them, obviously), I want to believe that the high profile ones are fakes created by Zionists, to shit on the pro-Palestine position

I know you’re just repeating a common joke, but people would absolutely not complain, in fact they would applaud it as subtle and complex and needing 200 IQ to understand. See all the discourse around “Don’t Look Up” which must have been the most heavy handed movie I’ve seen in a decade, and people praised it to high heavens foe being a “clever metaphor” etc

Fiction: Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad

Also fiction: The Prince by Nikocado Machiavado

I’m being funny but The Prince is truly fucking boring, I don’t think I will be finishing it. I only picked it up bc I found it in a thrift store for next to nothing and got curious. Heart of Darkness is good though.

After this I will probably read an actual instructions book on gardening (Will Bonsall’s Essential Guide to Radical, Self-Reliant Gardening), as the winter is soon over and I finally have a garden of my own.
