Metaphor ReFantazio isn’t on GoG.

Baldur’s Gate 3, which I mentioned in my other post, is. I am running the GoG version of that game. I’ll do GoG any chance I get.

This machine has always been GNOME. I ran “sudo do-release-upgrade.” I didn’t specify any flags for XFCE. I’m going to try to log in locally and see how it looks there.

I really want to know how to extract them as well. I paid for a movie on YouTube since it was available nowhere else and yt wouldn’t let me download it without DRM, so I just OBS’d the whole thing.

I had captions on, so they’re baked in. I really like captions, but it would be nice to have the option to turn them off.

Idk, but this last nvidia update broke things for me. Changing my display with ARandR wouldn’t work, I’d get a black screen with a mouse cursor and it would never recover, and the display driver would crash when waking the computer from sleep. I ended up reverting to the 470 drivers and that fixed it for me.

I don’t knowwww. I just for back from an out of town trip that lasted a week and a half and I remember updating everything when I got back.

So I’m really just assuming it was a graphics driver update, especially since rolling back my drivers fixed the issue.

I haven’t compared, I was just happy to get to the main menu with a respectable FPS. What’s the standard way to view your performance these days? MangoHUD? Does that work on windows?

Oh man, I can’t figure out what I did.

Somehow I routed the main display to the RDP session, meaning if I plug in a monitor I get a black screen instead of the desktop. I have to figure out what file I edited to do that. But searching online now none of the tutorials use whatever method I used roughly 6 years ago.

I didn’t have an issue like this going from bionic beaver to focal fossa, but I don’t think my setup was as complicated before. Do other distros have this problem? Mint? Debian? (Does Debian ever update?)
