yeah that makes sense now. in retrospect i maybe should have been less blunt.

all of the examples are from real things I’ve seen, including the story about a bomber pilot in Vietnam who kept a copy of Epictetus in the plane, which was presented unironically as cool and badass.

not as something that appears next to their name all the time. looks weird and janky. there’s also no way to sort of “fill” in the pronouns with any custom pronouns or text, and i probably wouldn’t care as much if you could fill it out. other sites that give you pronoun options usually give you a fill in option and don’t make it as mandatory. people are already misconstruing this as hateful, but i just would have preferred something that gave you more choice.
