The Baldur’s Gate franchise’s appeal wasn’t really because it was D&D based, it was because it had a really well-written story and characters. If Baldur’s Gate 3 is good it won’t be because of the gameplay, it’ll be because it was well-written, and there’s no way to tell that yet.
