I know academia is rife with bullshit, but one has to laugh at a professor worried that the Texas Legislature will kill Critical Race Theory classes, and when somebody asks, “hey can I audit the course due to personal reasons?” he says “no, I only teach registered (read paid) students”.

Paywalling the critical knowledge needed to engage with and against white supremacy and racism is like, a fucking death sentence to the theory and praxis.

:shrug-outta-hecks:

Meanwhile, my dumb ass is actively holding Book Clubs in theory for free, and I “built” a course on Capital Vol. 1 for the old /r/cth sub.

he didn’t blame dept. guidelines. so i don’t know.

This is just part of the larger point that academia studies, synthesizes and expounds on theoretical concepts but they are paywalled in ridiculous ways; meanwhile Breitbart is free.
