Has Nazis using the swastika every stopped Hindus from using it too?
If Nazbols use the hammer-and-sickle, shouldn’t we stop using that as well?
Why should we care? Hitler was a vegetarian. Does that make vegetarianism bad? Should we enforce eating meat out of spite for Hitler?
Hitler loved animals also. Does that make loving animals bad? Should we enforce a regime of animal cruelty just to spite Hitler?
Hitler called himself a socialist. Should we no longer call ourselves socialists because of that?
The Nazis essentially invented modern warfare. Should we ban all usage of tanks, spearhead formations, and close air-support just because the Nazis invented them?
What I am saying is not a defense of Nazis, but rather a rhetorical device to show how patently absurd your position is.
Edit: Oh yeah, the Americans invented carrier strike groups. Should we pressure China to completely abandon that entire class of naval warfare just because the Americans invented it?
Edit 2: The Americans invented atomic bombs. Should we pressure Russia and China to abandon their nuclear weapons (and then get Libya’d) just because the Americans invented it?
Edit 3: The Japanese built factories (and committed war crimes) in North-East China. Should the Chinese Communists have dismantled the Japanese factories just because they were built by the Japanese instead of utilizing them in the civil war against the Nationalists?
