My organizing efforts turned into a complete wash. One fucking lib literally derailed it.
There are so many issues that I can’t begin to explain. I wanna punch something so badly rn :angery:
I got co-opted. Then that loud, passionate person started calling for actions without putting things to a vote. The actions are all performative.
Last week management found out that ppl were organizing cuz of their performative bs.
Just now they sent an email to the remaining support staff explicitly stating that “we’ve been organizing” but only name me and one other coworker. So now it’s basically outed me with a paper trail.
I’ll likely get fired and some will lose their jobs cuz we don’t necessarily have “pretext” protections without an actual vote.
Maybe I’m just being negative but it sounds like that lib might actually be acting on behalf of the boss.
There wouldn’t happen to be a recently opened position right above that coworker, like some sort of assistant manager position, would there?
Take them down with you if you can. Or see if you can pin it all on them.
