Emily Ratajkowski is a model who’s been pretty outspoken about female sexual empowerment, and has done some writing about the politics of self-expression and ownership of images of the female body. She’s a pop-feminist who pisses some people off because she’s hot and mostly posts selfies, but also takes criticism for working within a system of exploitative image-making (she was mainstreamed after Robyn Thicke’s Blurred Lines video, where she appeared nude). She’s advocated for Bernie.

She recently had a kid, and has continued to take photos throughout the pregnancy as a form of body positivity while talking about the import of her son maintaining control of his own social media identity. This photo was posted a couple days ago and is funny because her kid looks like a sack of potatoes while she’s voguing. This meme is a pisstake on weird twitter dudes who analyse people’s posture on group photos to determine who’s the upright dominant “sigma male” (who are like, better than alpha) and who’s the subservient beta who’s leaning in. Hope this helps.
