Mostly MPB, Chico Buarque, Belchior, Zé Ramalho, Djavan, Gonzaguinha, Alceu Valença, Raul Seixas. I was just thinking there’s a lot of anti-boomer sentiment in America so maybe there’s something I’m missing. I didn’t expect a guy to say his dad was mostly into songs about the Iraq war being good.
Thanks so much! I’m into Joao Gilberto, Tim Maia, Os Mutantes, and Caetano Veloso but I haven’t heard any of these names! Gonna check them out now.

Yeah the typical boomer mindset is pretty sickly entitled and jingoistic which is what online people are referring to, but if anyone is actually thinking strictly among generational lines ( very spooky, not sure how common that is) they’re gonna miss out on a lot of great stuff.
It makes me so happy when people appreciate things from my country hahaha
