That last bit is why I’m surprised some offices keep trying to force people back in. The poor, stupid bourgeoisie doesn’t even realize it’s in their best interest to keep us WFH!
It’s not just profit but power over the proles especially in the increasingly unproductive west - after all production moved to the global periphery. I’m surprised too, because they save so much cash. But the point is to cow the workers with bullshit all the time, theyll never form international class consciousness and just get bogged down in overconsumption.
