I think Amber mentioned at some point that she was part of some leftist meeting that talked about if the should push for Warren, as she was the most left wing high profile politician at the time. They ultimately decided no. I donโt remember any more details but I think it does illustrate that there was a time before most people knew of Bernieโs potential, when she seemed like the best remotely possible option.
You do recall correctly - it was widely reported by MSM. Bernie wanted to draft Warren as the anti-corporate swan song at the foot of the nomination of Clinton. Warren refused. Bernie ran himself, thinking he had even less of a chance, and then he surprised everybody.
This is what makes Warrenโs claim that Bernie didnโt want a woman to be President/didnโt believe a woman could be President such a serpentine lie.
Honestly Iโm convinced that this hit job is ultimately what prevented the campaign from going forward. It took up unnecessary time during that debate where he shouldโve been differentiating himself with Biden.
