I doubt this does much to normalize Soviet icons than it just gets people to go “oh someone disgruntled put this image here for shock value, haha.”
not that this action was necessarily the best way to do that efficiently but tbh were all taking a shitpost too seriously here
I was responding to their claim and thoughts about the toxicity of the hammer and sickle and stuff in general not necessarily defending this particular post.
Definitely think this is just a “disgruntled worker” thing for sure. The “let’s not talk about red scare propaganda” thing is just a common refrain I see around that I just was musing on
