The salvation army, goodwill, value village, urban renewals, rehome. I frequently dig for junk at the thrift store if you don’t notice. I’ve found some good original prints over the years like a couple thousand dollar pictures for like 10 bucks
Oh man, I heard a story about one of those people who buys goodwill store paintings and then adds something whimsical over-top them, like putting an AT-AT from Star Wars in an otherwise normal pastoral scene. Here’s a subreddit full of them . Anyway, this particular buyer did the same thing, but unbeknownst to them the painting they had just repainted was an undiscovered original of a well-regarded 20th century artist that would’ve been worth good money. Can’t find the article I thought I read about this, however, so I can’t confirm this story.
