Most of this seems ok but I’m confused about the “King of the Homeless” part. Just… why is that a thing?

I’m not sure why, but it’s a fairly ubiquitous trope that somebody has to be in charge of homeless encampments

Thus, you end up with a lot of Hobo King stuff

it’s just like the end game goal/reward you get for helping everyone out with quests. It’s more like “Protector/Guardian” than the majestic “follow my decree” king shit. After delivering food and sleeping bags to every rough sleeper in town you probably would be king of the homeless.
