It was pretty shit when I was there, must be hell now. Honestly the funniest thing about this news is that at my store, LP was only present during the day shift, never there at night, which was when we got most brazen thefts. We were open til 11 and right by a freeway exit so it was simple for someone to just run in, grab 5 or 6 boxes of Nikes, and hop back in the getaway car. Lord knows I wasn’t gonna do anything to stop it
What so bad about it? The one I would go to as a kid was a special kind of fucked up, even as a kid I knew something was up because there would just be enormous piles of clothes and random crap on the floor everywhere you went

Terrible management. During my tenure our first GM was arrested for child porn. The managers who replaced him were useless incompetent assholes in many ways.
-
Useless coworkers. People who got promoted to lead positions were the laziest ones.
-
Staggeringly dumb clientele. People try to haggle with you, argue with you about prices and signs, don’t know how to use their own coupons and app and stuff, people shit in the fitting rooms. Idk where these people come from

Kohl’s is a credit card company disguised as a clothing store so they are always pushing you to get customers to sign up for the store credit card. Hate that shit
Reminds me of my youth, when I was the “greeter” (aka the only loss prevention these poor bastards had) at Future Shop. I got paid $4.50 an hour.
I still vividly recall the first time some dude grabbed a Gamecube off the shelf and walked out the door, and flipped me off when I was like, “Hey, what the fuck dude?” The manager on duty confronted me and the conversation went something like:
Manager: “Why didn’t you stop him?”
Me: “I’m not getting into a fistfight for $4.50, dude.”
Manager: “Good. I’m not paying your medical bills.”
Seeds were planted in my brain that day, though they didn’t sprout until more than a decade later.
