Okay, you’re right. Idk there does just seem to be this culture of entitlement around people with kids where they act like I have some privilege as a non-kid-haver. Which, yeah my life is overall easier, but you know it’s a choice you fucking made to have kids, you took on that responsibility. Plus it’s not like having them doesn’t come with it’s benefits, like all the tax breaks and whatnot. I get it’s a struggle and whatnot but at the end of the day it’s a struggle you took on and I’m not really obligated to put myself to help you with it beyond basic human kindness and solidarity, it’s not my duty to make this easier for you.
I want the government and society at large to help these people. But I’m one guy, I don’t like the responsibility falling on me when I’m just some dude.
