My prediction is a texas-style grid failure but with a wider scale. Where I live, the electrical infrastructure is crumbling and there were a number of 1-2 day long outages this year which is new. Also a generally very poor area so little resources or motivation to fix or reinforce anything.

I live in a place where the public postal service is useless due to neoliberalism. It sucks

Hahaha no. The government wants to “rent” ships that are powerstations karpowerships for 20 years! To help with rolling blackouts. There’s a protest on the 22nd September, might go, but still scared of Covid
