I go back and forth a lot between thinking people are losing faith in U.S. systems in record time, and thinking that I’m making up libidinal fantasies and overestimating the speed or extent of that loss of faith.
So what do you all think?
It’s basically an entire generation of workers that are prepared for some form of revolution.
I hope so, because I can’t take much more of this crap. I’m very skeptical there will be a revolution here though.
Prepared for revolution and actually carrying out a revolution are two different beasts. The conditions are ripe right now and disillusion is at a peak. Most workers are starving for any alternative form of organization.

so we say, and yet, there’s still nothing…
I know. It’s so infuriating. Everyone I’ve ever spoken with has totally agreed about everything, but for some reason it’s just impossible to get anyone committed.
There’s a lot of people who just don’t have the energy or drive. The system is really so incredibly overbearing and the total alienation of the workers has meant it’s almost impossible to get people to meet with any regularity due to constant job changes, spread out housing, and lack of reliable or cheap transportation.
Anything that happens will have to happen on the clock basically and that adds the panopticon effect.
