I feel like the problem is that we didn’t really see much of the “held together by chewing gum” part. We saw an effective war-machine that mopped the floor with mid-high level mooks.

Maybe if LP was immediately destroyed just before you reach Project Purity, like it was in Broken Steel, then the message would come across as more easily.

Fallout 3 did a lot to undermine it’s own narrative. But to not know LP was a piece of crap you had to walk past computers in the room in which liberty prime resides, that you are forced to walk right up to, more than once, and ignore them. Which I suppose is entirely possible. Because its weird to put actual narrative threads in incredibly optional sections
