We were supposed to draw these draped sheets and use cross hatching to show shading.

Looks pretty good. Keep practicing contours for better line confidence. Hatching is a real pain in the ass, but careful consistency will always produce a nicer result than more lines or directions. If you need to do it quickly, consider increasing your line thickness by holding your pencil at a very shallow angle to the paper, with your subordinate fingers curled around it and your thumb and forefinger extended along its length.
