they aren’t even in the news anymore.

If the media stopped salivating over them and stopped dropping everything else to do live coverage as they stick cameras and mics in victims’ faces, that would be a good thing.

You’re right. But at what point does not reporting on them seem as though they are “hiding” them for lack of a better term? They are still happening of course.

My sincere answer to that question is “don’t know, don’t care.” The pendulum was on the other side for too long and if it’s finally swinging back towards the media not bathing in the blood of these shootings, I’m not yet ready to start questioning that.

I don’t expect you to have the answer. My point is just that it is complicated. You’re right that our media bathes in it and just use it to gather more views and attention, but for all the wrong reasons.
