Hi all, I’d like to make a vegan lunch item that is not messy, quick to consume, and that I can make without a stove. I have hot water and access to a full normal American grocery. I’ve been having a lot of fruits and veggies for lunch, but I’d like something with a little more substance that has more complete nutrition.

Well, yeah, but they don’t have a stove, or even a hot plate, so I’m guessing that’s because they’re living in a place that doesn’t allow that. Something like a microwave oven or a rice cooker would most likely be allowed, and would allow them to cook more stuff.

I mean, that is also a possibility, but generally since rice cookers and microwaves are both pretty much just “set and forget” things that are fully automated, I think more people are open to just loading the food in and then pressing the button than having to stand around for 10-20 minutes cooking.
