Title says it all. Inspired by this shirt I saw online just now. Also, anywhere know where I can snag this drip?

So I guess this is 1/2 serious post, 1/2 shit post.

i guess i’m unaware of how’s it’s a debunked myth. I know those recruiter motherfuckers were in my highschool cafeteria using all kinds of weird frat style techniques to try to sign stupid kids up, what’s debunked?

edit: I just remembered for the first time in a very long time my friend’s interaction with one of those gi joe dipshits in the cafeteria. He was a big dude, goth-ish or maybe emo, sat down at this table empty table because none of the rest of us were there and a gi jerk sat down and tried to engage with him by asking him if he liked heavy metal (he did). He said nah i don’t listen to music, i don’t like it. Recruiter pauses, thinks for a moment, then asks him if he likes to blow things up. Friend said uhhh, what? and left.

That kids who sign up for the army are usually poor. I can’t find the link right now but lots of users have posted it in here before.

I have come across vets who regret ever going there and one current army member who campaigned for Bernie. Very weird. I point blank asked him why and he said for the benefits.

I worked a job that had me interacting with troops on a bunch of bases in the very late aughts, and I often heard from joes “bro do not join the military I did it because I was high/drunk/broke/911 happened and i joined the next day/couldn’t find a job and I have regretted it from day one”. None of the joes I ever interacted with came from comfort or money, but I only interacted with low level people.
