I take issue with the cracker slur anyway because didn’t it come from slavery and how slave masters would crack the whip? Like “cracker” in a roundabout way gives power back to white people, it’s saying you hold the keys of power and enforce them. Or am I overthinking this?
Apparently that’s not where cracker came from- in one of the recent threads someone linked some sources about its etymology.
