Remember when the cops didn’t have a warrant to take the dvds, so they normally would’ve left someone there to guard it until they could get a warrant, but instead they let Epsteins lawyer take it?
Totally agree, but it would be funny to have her just start screaming names in the courtroom and the guard just goes all :stalin-gun-1: :stalin-gun-2:
“It just went off by itself!”
Maxwell could name all the names she wants, but that won’t make any difference.
CW: child rape obviously.
Honestly? She could openly say Trump and Bill Clinton and Bill Gates and Dersh and Prince Fuckface and everyone else were fucking kids, she could describe in excruciating detail every heinous act, she could produce binders and photos. Nothing would happen. The media might even report on it, for like a day, or two even. But legally, nothing would happen.
Bringing it up online would get the exact same results it would right now: “It doesn’t matter if Clinton/Trump did all that, what matters is 2024,” or better yet, “Bill Gates has done so much good for the world, if anyone deserves to rape a child, it’s him. Give him a pass.” A few stations like WaPo and NPR would run defense for any tech billionaires named, but otherwise there’d be a collective shrug nation-wide and I don’t think a single trial would result of it.
I think Maxwell is gonna get some kind of last-minute plea deal like Epstein did the first time he got arrested. Somehow the sentence will get reduced to 9 months, with weekends off “so she can work.” And then she’ll just vanish.
The DoJ will have gotten its moment of “look, see? We arrested one of the pedophiles, so it’s over, IT’S OVER!”
Ghislaine will have her double jeopardy and just retire in Europe or New England.
The media gets to write a thousand op-eds going “FINALLY, We Have Closure on Epstein, and Anyone Who Disagrees is Awful.”
Everyone with power wins.
She’s going to turn out to have an uncommonly weak hyoid bone. The weakest hyoid bone, believe me. More and more people are saying it.
Just compare the coverage of the whole trial vs coverage of the Rittenhouse one.
