You’d look in that direction after securing up into the corner I think. You need to secure the space behind and up there beforehand in order to prevent the requirement to defend on multiple sides. NYC would obviously be a target of value to acquire but I think it’ll be an absolute hot-mess in the fallout of something like this as supplies, food and everything they need is presumably shipped in? I suspect food and water there will run out quick if things destabilise. You also probably wouldn’t want to “conquer” it with force, they’d have to WANT to join because otherwise street to street fighting in a place like that would just be an endless hell that lasts years.
