It doesn’t lead up to a climactic boss conclusion. Rather, you fight a gigantic tar-being controlled by the character who’s been foiling you throughout the story. Then a shooting match with him. Then you have a fistfight. But the game doesn’t end there, and then you have to rush back to the beginning of the game, but not before fighting a gigantic whale made of tar. Then the game goes on for another hour with more exposition. Less shocking and more an absolute mindfuck, but that’s Kojima for you and quite frankly I loved it.

Then you find out that Maads Mikkelson is your dad.
