I have been going for a more genral approach. The government says those are true. The government always only lies. Politicians lie to get elected, and we let them. They just keep lying in office. I can’t off the top of my head think of something the government isn’t lying about either generally or specifically. Just dismiss his claim out of hand till he cna tell you the government is a reliable source. Maybe call him a sheeple, if hr is old enough that’ll get him mad.
